Visiting Aberdare
The inaugural Caradogfest 2022 took place across a variety of locations in the town of Aberdare. Aberdare Town Centre
Caradogfest 2022 was centred around a FREE outdoor choral festival and recreation of the 400 strong Côr Mawr, in the 150th anniversary year of it's iconic first performance at the Crystal Palace, London
Performances took place throughout the town at Library Square, Lloyds Square, Market Square and St Elvan's Church
The town is the base of a wide and varied collections of local shops, restaurants and cafes, and no visit to Caradogfest is complete without a visit to the wider historic "Town of Song"

Cynon Linc
For Caradogfest 2022, Cynon Linc hosted an open Live Lounge featuring live music for attendees, plus refreshments available through the in-house cafeteria there
The facility is open daily Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 plus 9:30 to 12:30 on Saturdays

Cynon Valley Museum
Cynon Valley Museum opened Caradogfest 2022 with a FREE Heritage Talk by Professor Trevor Herbert on "Caradog, the Côr Mawr and their effect on Welsh Culture" on Saturday July 2nd, plus a month long exhibition on "The Life of Caradog"which ran from July 1st to 30th, and was open to visitors every Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00

Green Street Chapel
Located on the central Library Square, on Sunday July 17th 2022, the historic Green Street Chapel was the base of the traditional Gymanfa Ganu event, and was led by Cynon Valley's Beth Winter MP
Entrance to the Cymanfa Ganu was FREE and all were welcome to attend and join in this traditional evening of Welsh singing, here in Aberdare "Town of Song"

St Elvan's Church
Located right in the heart of Aberdare town centre, the recently renovated St Elvan's Church played host to the 2022 Caradogfest Gala Concert featuring Cat Southall, Ragsy and the Côr Mawr on Friday July 16th and acted as the marshalling point for the Saturday Caradogfest procession, plus as a fourth stage for individual choral performances throughout Saturday July 16th. The church's FREE Caradog inspired "Here Be Dragons" exhibition also ran daily from July 1st to 30th, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 16:00
